How many mothers use cloth diapers? Are they better?

I thinking about buying some...how do they hold up against disposable diapers?
Is your child in daycare or at home?
Do they get messy?
Does anything leak through?

I need to know everything...LOL

I use cloth during the day and a disposable at night. I find cloth just as easy to use. I'm a SAHM, so my son is home with me. Poop is messy, but I just rinse them out in the toilet and throw in a pail until laundry time. I haven't had a single problem with leakage. I use fitted pockets that I make. I only end up doing 1 extra load of laundry a week.
